Kristen Coventon – Vice President of RISE Volleyball
Kristen Coventon serves as the Vice President of RISE Volleyball and has been an integral part of the program since its founding. A dedicated and accomplished coach, she led her 2019 17’s team to the OKRVA Regional Championship finals and continues to bring strong leadership and a competitive edge to every team she coaches.
Kristen is also the Head Coach at Oklahoma City University, where she has made a significant impact on the program. Under her leadership, OCU claimed both the SAC Conference Tournament and Regular Season Championships, earning a spot in the NAIA National Tournament. Her outstanding coaching earned her recognition as the SAC Coach of the Year and South Central Region Coach of the Year. She has coached numerous All-Americans, All-Region, and All-Conference athletes during her career.
Before joining OCU, Kristen served as Head Coach at Southwestern Christian University, where she led a remarkable turnaround—growing the program from just 2 conference wins to 17 during her tenure.
She also contributes to elite youth development as a coach for the Oklahoma Region High Performance Team.
As a former standout player at the University of Central Oklahoma, Kristen made her mark in the record books by joining the prestigious 1,000 Kills and 1,000 Digs Club. She was a three-time All-Lone Star Conference selection and remains one of UCO’s most respected alumni athletes. Her success began at Christian Heritage Academy, where she was an All-State selection in both volleyball and basketball.
Kristen holds a degree in Kinesiology and brings a deep understanding of athletic performance and training to her coaching. She is passionate about developing well-rounded athletes who compete with heart, discipline, and purpose.
She is married to Ryan Coventon and continues to lead with excellence both on and off the court.
